Business Planning and Feasibility Studies

We carry out studies into the applicability or practicability of a project, proposed action or plan, to see whether it is possible to develop the idea at reasonable cost, or in line with other factors such as local impact, planning and regulatory requirements and so on. Our feasibility studies are based on extensive research on current best practice and contain extensive data related to financial and operational impact. We assess the advantages and disadvantages of both the current situation and the proposed plan and undertake an options appraisal, which informs a decision on whether or not to proceed, and on what basis a plan can be taken forward.

We start with your objectives, and look to develop an understanding of the environment and context in which your issue will operate, whether it be an opportunity or a potential problem. Our approach will include developing a range of possible options, and a framework against which these can be evaluated; we’ll then appraise each acceptable option in terms of its impact, cost, functionality, and risk, for example. Alongside our recommendations, you’ll get a detailed report on the assessment process for each option, and if you need it, a management plan to enable you to move the proposed option forward.

Our experience in this field includes these projects:

Broxtowe Borough Council – Proposed Café and Visitor Centre for Bramcote Hills Park

British Motor Racing Drivers Club and East Midlands Regional Development Agency - Silverstone Innovation Centre

Berkeley Homes - Former Atkinson Morley Hospital Site, Wimbledon - Feasibility Study for restoration of playing pitches and changing rooms
