Feasibility Studies

We carry out studies into the applicability or practicability of a project, proposed action or plan. The aim of a feasibility study is to see whether it is possible to develop a project or programme at a reasonable cost. Our feasibility studies are based on extensive research on current best practice and contain extensive data related to financial and operational impact. We assess the advantages and disadvantages of both the current situation and the proposed plan . We have helped clients to decide whether to proceed with a project or not. Our approach covers:

  • Developing an understanding of a problem (or opportunity) in terms of its effect on the organisation's objectives;
  • Developing an understanding of the organisational, managerial, and technical environment within which a response to the problem or opportunity will be implemented;
  • Establishing objectives against which possible solutions will be evaluated;
  • Preparing functional requirements of an potential options;
  • Identifying and evaluating possible alternative options in relation to the established objectives;
  • Preparing an economic analysis for each alternative that meets the established objectives and functional requirements to determine the feasibility of each alterntive;
  • List any risks and issues with each solution
  • Selecting the alternative that is the best response to the problem or opportunity;
  • Preparing a management plan for implementation of the proposed response; and
  • Documenting the results of the study in the form of a Feasibility Study Report
